What a crazy and marvelous last two months we have had! Truly we are blessed with our family and extended family that makes life worth it. Within the past two months we have traveled to Utah, Bridget turned 1, traveled to Lake Tahoe, Enjoyed a week and a half with our good friend Braadyn here in AZ, etc. (will post more once the pictures are downloaded from the trip). It was wonderful to see family and friends again after 5 months. But coming back to Arizona after being gone for two weeks made me realize that we really do belong here at this time in our lives. I love my home, my kids, my husband, the parks here, and especially the 70 degree weather we are suppose to have until Christmas!
Lee is still doing awesome at work. He has made friends with the other technicians and somehow in a small town like Safford the work just keeps coming. I am sure it will slow down for the week of Thanksgiving however.
The kids are growing so much everyday. Bridget's personality seems to be spunkier and spunkier everyday. She enjoys crawling, walking (she has taken 8 steps and would rather walk holding someone's hand then crawl now), spitting at anyone who gives her attention, playing with her toys, and bugging her older brother. It is great to have her in our home and she is always smiling.
Carter is so big. I don't even know where my little boy went. Watch out if you come over because Carter is sure to ask you 25 to a million "why" questions. He is sooo curious and imaginative, but you have to be careful because he catches onto everything you say and do. He also loves to play outside and bug his little sis.
As for me I am happy to be here. I love not working at this time and being here for my kids. It definately is a nice change of pace for me. Also I am looking into learning more crafts and food recipies to fill up my free time. I am hoping to start really decorating my home eventually (especially the kids rooms) when the money comes available. I am excited to make Thanksgiving dinner for my family next week for the first time. I hope the turkey turns out ok. We shall see!
The only other thing is that we sold our truck last week. We decided it was time to get something with more seats than just a truck and car have. It is really hard to pick up people from the airport when there is no room for them or their lugguage :) We are just saving up for now and will use some of our money to get Lee a working motorcycle to drive to work and back. Other than that life is good and being with our family is wonderful. I posted some family pictures Braadyn Ward took for us when we were in Utah, but it is just a glimpse of the amazing photos she did. More to come. Happy Thanksgiving next week!

A day at the Park!

This is us hanging out at the park. I am pretty sure it was on one of the Holiday's that just happened but can't really remember. Anyway, one of our favorite things to do as a family is go to the park first thing in the morning. We have to go first thing in the morning because it is about 75 degrees at 8:00 am and it feels great outside. Otherwise you are dealing with 85 to 110 degrees during the day. Not worth it for me! The parks here in AZ are really great. We always go to the park in Thatcher which is about a 5-10 minute drive from our house. There is a park in Safford but it doesn't have many trees and gets hot when you don't have any shade, even though it is only 5 min. from the house at the most. But if you have ever been here you will know most everything is either 5-10 minutes away or 2-3 hours away!

Our boy is officially three now. For his birthday we invited friends to the park in Thatcher for a breakfast birthday party. It was alot of fun and everyone played frisbee. Then we came home and had a relaxing day with the boy. More people came over that night for cake and ice cream and more presents. We love our little boy and enjoyed spoiling him for the day. I will post the video and more pictures once I download them from Lee's phone.

Our House

This is our house in Arizona. We love being homeowners. We have three bedrooms, two baths, an office, and our main living room that has the dining room and kitchen all as one. It is not very big of a house (about 1800 sqft) but it is perfect for our family. The yard is unfinished at this time but we hope sooner rather than later we can get something finished outside.

Our Carter is a very loving and social boy. His biggest accomplishment since we have moved from Utah is that he can talk very well now. He is very smart and loves to play cars, read books, watch movies, and eat food. We have started to make friends for Carter to play with. He still will go talk to complete strangers. Yesterday we went to the park and there were two men doing community service from the jail in their orange jumpsuits and Carter asked them to come play on the slides with him because no other kids were there. Good times. He is a great older brother (also great at teasing his little sister) and Bridget will follow him around the house. He will be turning three next week and we love him soo much!

This is our little Bridget that we love so much. She has progressed tonz in the past few months. When we left Utah she was just barely learning to crawl and now she would rather walk along any furniture then crawl. Her exzema has cleared up alot since we have gotten new perscription lotions for her and since we have been in AZ. Also her hair can now go into a ponytail on the top of her head, which I love. And she has two teeth, working on more as of right now. Bridget is definately our happy smiling girl that makes us sooo happy to be with.

This last year I was in a female jazz dance class. I have now done it for two years and I absolutely love it. This video is our jazz dance to the song FAME. I am sad that I can no longer be in dance. A New Month

I can't believe it is September already. The summer went by too quickly here in AZ. We played hard this summer with swimming lessons, dance lessons, swimming, playing at the park, driving up the canyon, going to the Gila Box, etc. We also worked hard trying to get settled into our new home and responsibilities. Overall I would say the summer was a success just too short. This September we will be celebrating Carter's 3rd birthday and Our 5 year anniversary. It is crazy how long Lee and I have been together. 2 years friends + 2 years dating + 2 year mission + 5 years married = 11 years we have been together :)

Goodbye Summer but not the Heat

Well summer came and went really quickly here in AZ. I think mostly it is because schools start on August 10th which is crazy and all of summer fun is ended on that day as well. Overall we had an amazing summer with driving up the canyon, swimming at the Gila Box, Lots of snow cones, Swimming lessons, hanging out with William for a week, etc.

Summer Dance

This spring Carter loved seeing his cousin Summer at her dance recital. So he asked if he could be in a dance class. I checked it out and they had a dance camp going on this summer. (yes he was pretty much the only boy) but he danced better than most of the girls. He is no longer in dance but maybe someday we can get him into hip hop or ballroom. He had alot of fun and even though he was younger than all of the girls he did a really good job. (I also think he had a crush on the assistant girl). We did put him in another dance camp this summer where he learned tumbling, tap, and technique. Now when he is just dancing around the house you can see tap moves incorporated into his dances :)

Welcome to the middle of nowhere, Safford, AZ

After 2 days, 13 hours of driving, and 700ish miles we made it to Safford, AZ. Safford is a smallish town located about 3hours east of Phoenix and mesa. It isn't a small town in the sense of amenities too much. We have a WalMart, ace hardware, home depot, mcdonalds, arbys, etc. Not a whole lot else. We purchased our first home here. It is a 2007 home with 3Bedrooms, two baths, and an office. We absolutely love it. The yard has not been finished but we have spent one day cleaning up the front of the house.
Lee works at a dealership called Kemptons. He loves it alot more than Larry h millers. He does their heavyline work and of course diesels
I am working at the Safford pool as a lifeguard and Staff Trainer on nights and Saturdays. I love it so much. The staff is awesome and super fun plus the pool is smaller but still has slides, beachfront, and lap lanes. Bridget is growing so big and can crawl and walk along the furniture. Carter is talking very well and loves our new home.

A decision that changed our lives!

In January Lee and I were going about life as normal. Lee has a friend named Kris that he worked with whose dad worked at a car dealership in AZ named Clay. He joked with Lee and Kris about coming to AZ and working with him. Well, one night we were talking to my parents about the future plans and we brought up our thoughts about Arizona being an option. Needless to say my parents supported us 100% On whatever we thought we should do. Over the next week we talked to family and prayed alot about what to do. We felt strongly that moving to Arizona was the right thing to do. Thanks to the help and support of family and friends we were able to move Lee down to Safford, AZ in April and me and the kids down in May. Within 5 months we went from just going about our normal day to packing up our family and moving to a small town we had never even heard of before. Thanks to everyone that helped us with moving, yard sales, babysitting, etc.

October 09 to January 2011

So really from October to January we just did the normal things a young family does. Once BRidget got out of the hospital we struggled with her having eczema. We are still working on that. Christmas was great. Our fourth Christmas at a different house. Everything else was fine. Lee wasn't really happy with work and I was stressed with work now having two kids. We were both trying to just get by.

Halloween 2010

What can we say... Halloween rocks with a two year old. Lee and Carter went trunk or treating (I was still in the hospital with Bridget). Carter was alot of fun and he would say cheeky cheeky for trick or treat. Of Course it was pouring rain while we were trick or treating. We were soaked but it was alot of fun!

A Year Later

Um......So here we are again. New and Improved with Bridget Lee McMillan!!! Our year was good. We moved twice, had a child, I worked at the pool again, everything else is about the same. Carter is getting to be sooo big and talks up a storm. We love watching him learn and grow. He has done really well with the addition of Bridget to the family. I am glad to not be pregnant anymore and Lee is glad too.

So the summer has come and gone and I am finally back. For how busy the summer was I can't believe it is already over. Well our summer consisted of watching Carter grow and learn new things, lots of work, and a few vacations as well. It really was a great summer!The biggest thing for Carter is that he has started to walk. So I added a small video of him taking some of his first steps. Of course now he is walking as much as he can with a little help here and there. Some other things that have happened... Lee and I went to Lake Powell in June and enjoyed a wonderful week with Lee's relatives The Berg Family. They were really kind to invite us along to come play. Carter didn't go on that trip with us. We also went to Bear Lake a week ago with my family. Other than that it was just small things we did. We took Carter to the Living Planet Aquarium and he loved to watch the fish swim back and forth. I am excited to take him next year when he really will appreciate all that he sees. I also have added a movie of Carter playing the piano. He loves to play around on it and sometimes I can get him to sing as well.

Carter is starting to be such a character. We love him so much. He is great when I take him to meetings and everywhere for work. These are some newer pictures of him. I can't believe he is almost 6 months old. He has also started eating foods. So far we have explored the wonderful tastes of bananas and sweet potatoes. He likes both of them so it has been a fun adventure. Got to love it.

Cabin Trip

Wow, it seems the older you get the quicker time goes by. Well, we are still alive and as busy as ever. We went to a cabin in February that was awesome. It was our first trip with Carter and we had a blast. We went with my family and just hung out for 5 days. Thanks to Dustin and Camille for inviting us (and of course the Magleby's since it was their cabin). There were four wheelers that we drove around. I had never been on a four wheeler before but I loved driving them. It was alot of fun and one of the best family trips I have had.

The Holidays

These are all pictures taken over the holidays! We had a great time with Carter this year and enjoyed being with friends and family. As far as an update goes we will start with Lee - Lee's work has been very slow up until last week and since it has seemed to pick up tonz. He has triple the work he had through December and it is only the first week of January. Which is great for us since he gets paid on commission. Lee is doing great. He still stays very busy. He just got called to be the advancement chair over boy scouts and the duty to God in our new ward. He is excited to be apart of young men's but not be a main leader. As for me... I am working hard still at being a mom and employee at Kenyon Consulting. The winter has been good for the business and we have been able to keep busy during the holidays which isn't the norm most years. I am loving being a mom and I have alot of fun playing with Carter and seeing him grow and develop new abilities. Other than that I am finally getting back to the gym to tone my muscles for a new summer at the pool and just to feel like all the baby fat is officially gone. Also I was called as A beehive advisor for our ward. That means I advise the 12 and 13 year old girls. So I get to hang out with them on Tuesday nights and teach lessons and my favorite... Girls Camp this Summer. I can't wait. I loved going to camp every year and now I get to go again as a leader. We will see how it goes. We had a great Christmas. A few of the presents we received was a 32 inch flat screen tv that we love, some new videos, Lee got church shoes, socks, and a tie from me. Lee completely suprised me and got me an IPOD Nano to use at the gym. I love it and I finally feel like I am getting up to date with Technology. Carter is growing and changing everyday. He has become our little monster. Not because he misbehaves but because he has started doing this strange growl within the last few days. It just makes me laugh everytime I hear it. Carter's hand/eye coordination is getting much better. He can take his binkie out but can't put it back in (which for him is fine because he would rather suck on his thumbs). Also he got some new toys for Christmas and he is being able to really start to play with them, so I am very excited. It is great being a parent. I have attached a video of Carter doing his new growl. It is pretty funny. The holidays were great but it is time for the new year.

Halloween

Here are some pictures of us dressed up for halloween. We went over to our friend's house and carved pumpkins and just hung out. It was alot of fun. Plus Carter looked way awesome all dressed up! Also there is a picture of Carter and his cousin Daniel side by side. Tim and Tracy had bought us a matching tiger costume but Carter was way to small to fit into the newborn size. So we had a bumble bee and a tiger!

Change

This is a picture of our new home as of November 29th.

Sometimes it is amazing how quickly things can change.. People, Jobs, etc. Well Lee and I are moving to Highland on the November 29th. We had come across an opportunity to rent a house for a really good deal in June, but were on hold to see if things would develop in a way that would work for us. Basically we are moving into a house that will be demolished in a year and a half or five years due to road widening. It is one of the relocation projects my dad and I have been working on since May.

Well the couple moved out about a week ago at the house we were looking at and everything fell into place for Lee and I to move into it. It isn't anything fancy but the upstairs has been remodeled and it looks really nice. Also the backyard is awesome, it is like a forest. We have a huge deck with a fire pit which will be great for some summer partying.

We are really excited for this opportunity to be in a house sooner than we expected. Even if we are still renting.

We will be busy packing and moving this month!

What is a Schedule

Well things are continueing to go well with our little family. Lee and I are definately looking forward to the holidays and are excited for Halloween. Work is continuing to go well for me. It is still really slow for Lee. Dumb economy!

It is funny how life turns around on you. I use to watch other women with babies and hear them say things like, "well my baby needs to eat at this time, sleep from this time to this time, etc." I always thought, what is the big deal with a schedule for a baby. Now that I have one of my own, without even realizing it I have tracked Carter's sleep time, eating time, play time, grumpy time, bath time, etc. I could tell you everything he did for the last 24 hours and how long it took, AND what I think I am going to do today to either keep him to that schedule as close as possible or change to help him sleep better through the night.

It all revolves around getting him to sleep the most during the night and I am happy to say that last night was probably the best night so far!

Well, overall things are going well. Carter's baby blessing is this Sunday and if you want more information just let us know. If anyone has any good recommendations for stores to buy blessing outfits I would like to know because Lee and I are going shopping on Thursday for his blessing outfit. Also, I am wanting to get family pictures soon and I am not sure of who is a good photographer that won't charge tonz of money. Any Ideas?

A New Ability

I was playing with Carter on the floor today and decided to give him some "tummy time" as is recommended. Well I did and he rolled over. I wasn't sure if he really did it so I set him on his stomach again just to see if he really could do it on his own. Sure enough he rolled over. Then I decided to record it just in case he won't do it when others are around. So this video shows that Carter can roll from his stomach to his back. I didn't realize that babies could do that already. So much to learn. I thought it was cool that Carter did something out of the ordinary (meaning he wasn't eating, sleeping, burping, or messing his diaper)!!!

3 Weeks

Being a parent is intense to the extreme. Lee and I have been having an adventure learning how to be parents. I love being a mother and Carter is a cute little boy. When he smiles it makes me melt. We have been fortunate to have a pretty calm little boy up until now. He likes his car seat which is great for me since I am back at work and have to travel occasionally to Salt Lake and what not.

Carter is now 19 1/2 inches long and weighes 6 lbs 14 ounces (as of 2 week apointment). It seems that he is starting to follow a pattern of 2 hours asleep and 2 hours awake. This varies but it is alot better than when we first brought him home.

As for Lee and I we are doing great. Lee is back to work and has had some good jobs lately which is nice. The pool is finally closed for the winter season so I am now alot less stressed than a few weeks ago. I can't imagine still working at the pool, working for the family business, and taking care of Carter full time. I would be worn out quickly.

That is about it for us! We are excited for fall and the upcoming holidays!

Well Carter Lee McMillan has finally arrived! He came on September 17, 2008 at 9:06 p.m. He weighed 6 lbs 3 ounces. Carter has been doing really well and we love having him around. What a blessing it is to have him in our home.

Lee and I went with the McMillan Clan on Labor Day to the other side of Utah Lake so that the Boys could do some shooting. It was fun to watch all the boys enjoying shooting their shotguns. Thanks McMillans for the fun outing!

Venting

There comes a time with every big event in life when you are just ready to be done. It happens when you graduate high school and then again when you graduate college. Who can disagree with being ready to have all the wedding plans finished and not be engaged anymore. Well, for anyone who doesn't know it is exactly the same way with being pregnant. The problem is that your perspective of when you should be done with something is never the same as anyone else's perspective. We all have different experiences and know people with experiences that are either very much the same or very different.

I know I am an anxious person and I don't like waiting for change when it is inevitable but I can't think that we all have a right to look forward for something to finish finally. It seems the closer it gets to Carter coming the more and more I hear of how he really won't come until after my due date or so and so had this happen and that is why it won't happen the way I want.

Is it so hard to just say you are excited for someone with out giving them the 101 on how you and everyone you know had such and such happen that will somehow relate to me as well.

Now I must say as I am venting that I too am guilty of what I just described. But I am curious why do we as people do that???? Anyone have any good comments about this. I am just wondering.

I promised pictures and I now have plenty to share. I got a great camera at one of my baby showers (Thanks Mom and Dad). It is really nice to know that we can take pictures of Carter when he comes now. So this is a picture of Lee and my final picture of me as pregnant as can be. I am full term now and I personally feel ready to pop even if I don't look like it (as sooo many people tell me).

August is the longest month EVER

Now that it is August I guess I can write again. Wow, things have been crazy. Work just keeps piling up and there is still so much to do. I finally feel (now that it is almost the end of August) that I am starting to catch up on my full time job with Kenyon Consulting and am being able to start wrapping things up at the PG Pool. I wasn't ready for the nicety of the second trimester to end and the third trimester to be so tiring. Nevertheless things are getting accomplished and I will be ready when Carter decides to join our family for reals.

Lee has been doing alot of side work on friends and family cars to help us earn the few extra moneys we need. He has done a really good job and is going to be wrapping up extra jobs by the end of August so that he can focus more on being ready when Carter comes.

This last Saturday Lee and I went shopping and got a stroller and car seat! Our last big purchase has been completed. If you could have saw us that night trying to learn how to put everything together and just how to use a carseat you probably would have laughed. For us it was like Christmas all over again.

With that we are enjoying spending time with each other and hanging out with friends and family. Someday we will post pictures again but we don't have a digital camera that works. We will be getting one soon and will be able to keep you updated with pictures.

Happy 4th of July

I can't believe the 4th of July has already come and gone. Crazy Times. That means summer is about half over :( Well Lee and I have had some fun adventures lately. We were able to both go to youth conference with our ward. Lee was going and they let me come along to watch over the water activities and first aid if any was needed. (I think Lee just wanted me to come) We went to Burston Ponds in Mona. It was alot of fun, so much fun that we are going back in another two weeks. Yea for camping!!! Also we had a great holiday weekend spending time with both the McMillan and Kenyon families in the usual fireworks, bbq's, and swimming. We sure love to be with our families.
We also got to babysit Daniel this weekend which was an interesting change from babysitting Summer who is almost 2 years old now (She can run you in circles, but we love it). It got Lee and I both very excited to have a little boy of our own in our home.
Also I had another doctors appointment this last week and everything is looking really good. We had another ultrasound to make sure the placenta moved up and away from the cervix, which it did. (I liked it because we got more pictures of Carter) Other than that the pregnancy is going very smoothly considering all that I am doing. Carter is now weighing just over 2 pounds! At the appointment we scheduled all the appointments till the end of the pregnancy and I think that Lee and I finally realized that the time is not far off. We still have much to do in getting ready but that will happen slow and steady. Also the due date is still September 30, 2008. Even though they are saying Carter is actually a week ahead of schedule in weight and development.

SUMMER!!!!!

So it is now summertime and the time that I love most of all! However, for most it is a time for rest and relaxation. For Lee and I it seems to be completely opposite. This is the time that Kenyon Consulting is the busiest with various jobs and all our programs have lots of work. Which of course is wonderful. Lee's work is actually really slow right now and he hasn't had much to do. (Probably because diesel gas is now like $5.00) I have started working at the Pleasant Grove pool again this summer because I just can't get enough of it. Knowing me I will probably still be working there in 20 years. What can you do when your hobby happens to be saving peoples lives and dealing with the funny things that happen at public pools during the summer. Don't worry I am not the one sitting out on the stand (can you imagine a pregnant women coming out to save you if you are drowning!!) I oversee the lifeguards and help with everything else! Isn't it great. Also Lee and I are still very involved with Scouts and Cub Scouts. This next week we have cub day camp and then Lee has youth conference he is going to which I hope I can go with them as well. Other than that Carter is kicking (or elbowing) up a storm and you can now see my stomach move when he is being all wiggly. We also just got our changing table and I feel like the nursery is slowly coming together. A few decorations and it will feel like a real nursery. That is all in the lives of NessLee as of right now!

New Stuff

This is a picture of the crib we got for our Nursery!!!

Of course it is on order right now and we really won't see if for a few weeks but that is ok. I am learning that shopping this early for Nursery items can be a good thing. Some out of order items can take over a month to recieve, etc. Lee really liked this crib because it is shorter than most so you don't have to reach over the front bar to put the baby in it. It is pretty sweet! We will post more pictures once we actually have the real thing.

Isn't life great, especially with Utah's wonderful weather. I can sometimes catch glances of Spring coming when I go outside. Not including this freezing week of course. Today is Friday and therefore it is a great day and life is great. Lee has been very busy at work and working on another car after hours to get some more money. I love my husband and all he does for me and our family. Also we got new callings. Lee is the Second Counselor in the Young Mens. Which means he is also the Scout Master. I loved scouts and it made me miss all the memories of Scofield Boy Scout Camp. So I added some pictures of the good times at Scout Camp. I am sure not many people have seen these pictures. And if you didn't know I went to Boy Scout Camp I will just tell you that I was the Assistance Aquatics Director. I played at the lake all day!!!!

My new calling is the First Counselor in the Primary Presidency. I am excited and nervous considering I never went to Primary myself. But it will be fun to work with all the kids in our neighborhood to feel loved and appreciated. Also one of my responsibilities is over the cub scouts. So in a way I am back to scouting, however I don't know a thing about cub scouts other than they have day camps and not actual week long camping trips. It will be an adventure for both Lee and I with all that is going on.

I had a doctor's appointment today and everything is going well with the pregnancy and the baby is doing great. Finally being in the second trimester of pregnancy is a relief and I already can tell I have more energy then I had for the last few months.

I am pretty sure that is all of our updates for the time. Please take note of the new movie I added to our Video Bar. Happy Easter

Easter seemed to come and go in a hurry this year. Lee and I had some good times eating basically a Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house. We decided to give each other an Easter basket to share. In my personal opinion- we bought way tooo much candy for just two of us. Oh Well! Last week was really busy for us. The Boss and I spent two days testing toys for Lead Based Paint. Then there was meetings and reports and all sorts of stuff going on. I am hoping this week is a little more relaxing compared to last. Lee's work is slow at the moment which is normal due to the holiday. It should pick up quickly we are hoping. The last picture I think is of Lee dancing in the kitchen. I can't remember actually and I don't remember taking that picture but he looks good as always! Everything is going well. I am at 14 weeks in the pregnancy and finally being able to feel better and accomplish a little more. Everything with the baby seems to be going how it is suppose to and we are happy about that. Other than those few things with work Lee and I are just having fun being together. What could be better.

This last friday we had our first real doctors appointment. He let us know that everything is going really well and we got to hear the sound of our baby's heartbeat. For anyone who has never had that happen all I can say is that it is awesome. It really made the whole pregnancy thing finally real. Other than that things are going really well. I will try to update the blog on more of a weekly basis to inform anyone of new baby information. Also I added this week a new link to Daniel's blog (Daniel is Tim and Tracy's little boy) so if anyone is interested in checking up on Daniel's progress you can check that out. I added a link of what a baby's heartbeat sounds like when using a doppler machine. It is pretty fascinating!!!!

An Addition

Well what can we say better than these pictures- We are expecting our first child. I am currently pregnant and feeling it very well. I am only 2 and 1/2 months along and it feels like there is an eternity before the baby is due. The due date is somewhere around September 30 or October 1st. We are very excited and are crossing our fingers that the pregnancy goes well. I thought the cartoons would be a good way to announce for anyone who has not already been informed. Also the middle picture describes me perfectly. I no longer fit into my old jeans, however I also do not fit into maternity clothes either. What an akward position! Other than planning for a baby we are just working hard and looking forward to a vacation in May at Saint George. We are certainly ready for some good weather. So hopefully in a few months we can add another member to the McMillan Clan and to the Kenyon Crew!!!!!

New Year, New Happenings

I can't believe one month in the new year is already gone. However, I do look forward to spring alot. Our January went well. Work is as busy as can be for me and Lee is at a slow at his work. But we do what we can and enjoy it. We recently bought a new (used) car. It is a pontiac grand prix GXP. If that doesn't mean anything to you basically it has a V-8 (same engine you would find in a Tahoe- As Lee told me when we test drove it) and goes fast. Also we got a great deal on it because we bought it from Lee's work. It only has 19,000 miles on it and it was a rental car before we got it. We have really enjoyed knowing that we don't have to rely on the 1963 truck to get around everywhere that eats gas like no other. Also this last month I started playing with a local jazz band that Lee has been playing with since before his mission. It is called the buzztones and they play gigs at alot of random places. Right now I am practicing with the band on Saturdays and will eventually replace the 2nd alto player who is leaving on a mission sometime in September. Once he leaves I will actually play at the gigs. I am really excited to be playing the alto saxaphone again in a jazz band. I will let you all know when the gigs are if you ever want to come hear Lee and someday me playing. I think that is all the new exciting updates.

Quick Christmas Recap

I have been slacking in my job of updating our blog. Christmas went really well for us. This was the first time Lee and I actually had our own Christmas with presents and stocking gifts. We spent the morning at our house and then went over to the McMillan parents house. We talked to Elder KC McMillan from 2:00 to around 4:00. We left early and went to the Kenyon Parents house for Christmas gifts. All in all we had a great time with everyone and were able to get some sweet gifts from everyone. Another Christmas Down!!!

5. After I have cleaned the house from top to bottom if there is anything out of place I have to fix it for the rest of the day.

1. Dresses with poofy shoulders.
2. Pants that I have personally cut at least four inches on either side of the pant leg on both pant legs just so people will think they are flares and to show off my shoes.
3. Scrunchies, hair bows, perms, etc.
4. The leggings that were a strange color (purple, black with sparkles, green, blue, etc) and had either lace at the bottom or an elastic that went around your foot.

Christmas Time Is Here

I love Christmas Time. It just seems like there are so many wonderful opportunities that come. Being able to see Christmas lights, decorating, making cookies, buying gifts, helping anyone who stands in need. Isn't it great. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and if you need anything please let Lee and I know. We would love to be of service.

Other than that we are doing well. Hardtimes come and go but we keep moving on and enjoying life. Lee is doing great at work and I am busier than I ever have been at this time before. I know we are both looking forward to another holiday and some time off. Also we are looking forward to spending time with our friends and family.

These are the couple pictures we took. The picture of Lee and I in front of the Red Tree as we call it turned out pretty well. Ever since I have known Lee he always talks about how the Red Tree is his favorite. So where better to get a picture of us than in front of his favorite Christmas Tree. Oh Tender!!! If any of you have never been to see the Christmas Lights at Temple Square I would encourage you to go. It is the coolest/prettiest thing I have ever seen. That last picture of the Temple looks like it could be on a postcard.

This of course is Lee and I. Lee dressed up as a mobster and I of course was his girl. It was fun being able to dress up as a couple. That is the first time I have ever done that. Since we didn't decide what we were going to be until the night before we thank our parents for providing all the odds and ends needed to make up these costumes. I am also happy to say we only spent $1.00 for my purse. Good Times!!!

This is Carrie's awesome work at decorating. She made a full graveyard complete with black lights and fog. Also the walkway had bubble wrap under it so when you walked over it there was alot of noise. Pretty inventive.

This is Blair and Lisa. They are our good friends and we hang out with them alot. We played a card game called something like Mormon Bridge or Indian Poker or something like that. Anyway as usual Lisa won (she is really good at playing games) Lee and Blair placed somewhere in the middle and I hung out in last place. I just don't do very well at guessing how many hands I will win. Oh well we had alot of fun!!!

HALLOWEEN

What an adventure. We were invited over to Steve and Carrie's house (Sorry I don't know how to spell your name Carrie) Anywho we didn't know you were suppose to dress up for this party until a few days before but of course we didn't even think about it until the night before. So for our halloween activities we went to a trunk or treat (with the rest of Utah County) and handed out candy. It was my first trunk or treat I have ever been to and it just seemed odd to me. Well we ran out of candy quickly and headed on over to the party. Luckily we dressed up because everyone else at the party dressed up as well.
Carrie did a great job at decorating her home (She is a wedding designer, so she has alot of props) for halloween. We had food, played a Clue gesture kind of game, and then some people watched a scary movie while others of us played card games. It was a good time and we all had alot of fun. Nothing new is going on in our lives. The weeks keep coming and going. One cool thing I have been doing is going to the Cannery. That is a new experience but it turns out I like going there. Also we are enjoying time with friends, babysitting Summer, and hanging out with the Families. It sounds like KC is doing well on his Mission in New Zealand. From the pictures he has sent it looks like a beautiful place to be.

This is Lee Pretending to Sleep for the Camera

So for the business we finally got a new digital camera. Of course when you get a new toy you have to play with it so these are some pictures we were taking last night while trying to figure out how to use the camera!!! Things are going well for us. Lee is now certified to do safety inspections on cars and he passed his pretest for the emmissions part of it. Other than that we had an awesome trip to Salt Lake for our anniversary. Hopefully I will get those pictures developed soon so you can all see how much fun we had. Of course it did rain all day Saturday so we were not able to go to the zoo as we had planned. Oh well. Kenyon Consulting is going well. We had a good summer and are hoping for a good fall.

Other than that Lee and I are taking an Institute Class that is taught in American Sign Language. That way I can keep up my skills and teach Lee at the same time. We also are just loving going to the Lehi Gym with Lee's brother Patrick.

I think that is all of what is new with us. Not too much but we are happy where we are and with what we are doing!

These 2 pictures are probably my favorites from our wedding last year. Plus they also show both "outfits" that Lee wore. The kilt is still my favorite. It makes me sad that we missed the Scotish Festival this year. Oh well, we can go next year.

I decided that Lee and I need to take more pictures. We only have our wedding pictures and two family pictures since we have been married. Maybe this site will encourage me to get my camera out for once and take a picture of something fun that we do. I will work on that and post anything new that is not our wedding pictures.
